About the Role

The Sales Engineer is a critical pre-sales role that sits at the intersection of commercial sales execution and technical solutioning. This position partners closely with the VP of Sales and Account Executives to support complex SaaS sales cycles by translating customer challenges into tailored product solutions.

This is a highly customer-facing role focused on technical discovery, customized demonstrations, solution configuration, and sales enablement. The Sales Engineer acts as the technical authority during the sales process, ensuring solution fit, clear value articulation, and confidence for fleet and operations decision-makers.

This role is based in Mississauga, Ontario, with an expectation of five days per week in office. It is a hands-on, execution-oriented position and does not involve prospecting, farming, negotiating, or closing deals.

Responsibilities

· Partner with Account Executives and sales leadership throughout the full pre-sales cycle

· Conduct detailed technical discovery to understand customer workflows, challenges, and requirements

· Deliver customized product demonstrations aligned to customer use cases and business outcomes

· Translate technical features into clear business value and ROI for non-technical buyers

· Support deal progression through solution configuration, pricing integrity, and technical validation

· Act as the technical authority during customer meetings, presentations, and evaluations

· Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales to provide market feedback

· Maintain accurate documentation, follow-through, and sales enablement materials

· Support customer confidence and satisfaction during the sales process

Qualifications

· 4+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Sales professional in a SaaS environment

· Strong understanding of SaaS architecture, cloud platforms, and software deployment concepts

· Proven experience conducting technical discovery and delivering tailored product demos

· Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value

· Experience supporting quota-carrying sales teams and contributing to revenue goals

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to non-technical stakeholders

· Technically credible while remaining commercially minded

· Comfortable being customer-facing and influencing deals without owning the close

· Highly organized, structured, and strong at documentation and follow-up

· Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across Sales, Product, and Engineering teams

Benefits

· Base salary range: $85,000-$130,000

· Performance-based bonus plan with up to 50 percent of base salary as variable compensation

· Full benefits package
