About the Role
This is a high-travel, high-touch outside sales role focused on generating new business for custom-engineered industrial solutions. As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be the face of the company across the Southeast, selling to both SMB and enterprise-level clients. You’ll manage complex sales cycles, collaborate with engineers and decision-makers, and drive large-scale opportunities from concept to install. This role is best suited for a technical hunter who thrives on long sales cycles, custom solutions, high-value deals, and who’s eager to close million-dollar projects while keeping the pipeline moving.
Responsibilities
· Identify, pursue, and close new business across manufacturing, military, and OEM markets.
· Manage a territory primarily in the Southeast, with some national travel as needed.
· Work directly with engineers and decision-makers on complex, custom projects.
· Attend industry trade shows and leverage warm inbound interest to build pipeline.
· Respond to RFPs and RFQs, especially for government projects.
· Collaborate with internal teams to scope, price, and deliver custom solutions.
· Maintain clear communication with leadership on opportunity progress and forecasts.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of outside sales experience, with a focus on new business development.
· Background selling engineered or custom industrial equipment or systems.
· Experience working with engineers and technical buyers.
· Track record of success selling into manufacturing, military, or large OEM accounts.
· Located in the Southeast and open to 70%+ travel (travel fully reimbursed).
· Comfortable managing long sales cycles and high-activity travel schedules.
