They are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to help drive efficiency, lead a high-performing team, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives at their New Dundee site.

About the Role

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of yard and warehouse operations, including production scheduling, safety compliance, material flow, and team supervision. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with deep experience in metal recycling and a passion for operational efficiency and team development.

Responsibilities

· Supervise, coach, and mentor yard and warehouse employees.

· Plan, assign, and manage daily workloads and production activities.

· Maintain high safety and environmental compliance standards across operations.

· Direct the flow of incoming and outgoing materials to meet production targets.

· Collaborate with maintenance to address equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and service.

· Uphold strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

· 5+ years of hands-on supervisory experience in a metal recycling facility.

· Strong leadership and team motivation skills.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

· Forklift license is considered an asset.

· Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.

· Curious, self-directed, and committed to continuous learning.
