About the Role
This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role focused on building and scaling a national 1099 rep channel for the company’s orthopedic infection portfolio. As the National Channel Director, you’ll be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and optimizing an independent sales force to drive commercialization efforts across the U.S. You'll be laying the foundation for a new sales infrastructure, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and owning the performance of this strategic revenue stream. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial leader with experience managing multi-line reps and navigating decentralized sales environments.
Responsibilities
· Develop and implement a national strategy to scale the 1099 sales channel.
· Identify, vet, and contract high-performing independent reps.
· Recontract and activate legacy customers and 1099s within the first 90 days.
· Drive 40%+ annual growth through new account acquisition and rep enablement.
· Build operational systems for forecasting, reporting, and pipeline tracking.
· Evaluate rep performance and make structural improvements as needed.
· Serve as the face of the channel strategy with executive stakeholders.
· Travel 70-80% of the time across the U.S. to support reps and build relationships.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of experience managing 1099 sales channels in medtech or ortho.
· Proven success working with multi-line rep networks.
· Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset.
· Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce and Microsoft-based platforms.
· Ability to lead with influence and drive structure in loosely affiliated teams.
· Self-directed, adaptable, and able to operate with high autonomy.
