With decades of experience supporting customers in plumbing, PVF, waterworks, and related wholesale sectors, they’re expanding their inside sales team to support continued account growth across North America. With a strong culture of performance, collaboration, and customer service, they’re seeking a driven inside sales professional to help manage and expand their existing book of business.
About the Role
This is a high-activity, relationship-focused inside sales role responsible for managing and growing a defined portfolio of accounts. As an Inside Sales Account Manager, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for your customer base, working the phones, email, and CRM to maintain strong relationships, increase product penetration, and meet growth targets. You’ll also collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and expand share of wallet across your territory.
Responsibilities
· Serve as the lead point of contact for 300+ assigned accounts across various U.S. regions.
· Conduct proactive outreach to upsell and cross-sell within the account base.
· Manage quoting, pricing, and proposal activities to close deals.
· Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in CRM (ERP and Excel proficiency preferred).
· Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, customer service, and operations.
· Execute targeted sales campaigns to drive SKU expansion and account growth.
· Track and report on key performance metrics including product penetration, revenue growth, and account retention.
Qualifications
· 3-5+ years of inside sales or account management experience
· Background in industrial distribution or related sectors (plumbing/PVF/waterworks) is ideal.
· Comfortable managing a high volume of customer interactions.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
· Excel, CRM, and quoting systems experience preferred.
· Coachable, energetic, and motivated by relationship-driven growth.
Benefits
· Base Salary: $70,000 – $80,000
· Bonus: Up to 30% annually (individual and team-based metrics).
· Hybrid role: Preference for Kansas City-based candidates; remote possible for strong fit.
