About the Role
The Director of Sales will lead complex, consultative sales cycles for large-scale capital equipment solutions. From concept to contract, you’ll engage with technical and executive stakeholders, manage long-term relationships, and help customers implement high-impact food processing technologies. This is a hybrid role based in Santa Rosa, with significant domestic and international travel.
Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end capital equipment sales for food production clients across North America and globally.
· Manage large deals ranging from $100K to $10M+.
· Navigate 6-month to 2-year sales cycles, balancing multiple concurrent projects.
· Develop strategies tailored to each customer tier, from plant engineers to executive leadership.
· Represent the company at 6–10 industry trade shows annually.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and marketing teams.
· Use Salesforce and AI-integrated tools to manage pipeline and forecasting.
Qualifications
· 10-20 years of industry experience, ideally blending engineering, operations, and sales.
· Mechanical or Chemical Engineering background strongly preferred.
· Experience with capital equipment sales or operations in food production.
· Comfortable with 50% travel (domestic and international).
· Located within 90 minutes of Santa Rosa, CA (or willing to relocate).
· Strategic, detail-oriented, and emotionally intelligent.
· Bonus: Spanish fluency and global business exposure.
