Our client is an innovative mobility solutions provider, integrating IoT technology to deliver data-driven operational insights for hospitality and entertainment venues. With a strong social-good mission and a collaborative, “one team” culture, they are expanding into the Orlando market with a high-impact business development role focused on building relationships and closing deals with major hotels, casinos, amusement parks, convention centers, and senior living communities.
About the Role
This is a brand-new position designed to establish and grow a local presence in Florida’s hospitality and entertainment sector. The Director of Business Development will take a hands-on, hunter-focused approach to winning new business, leveraging an existing network of decision-makers to close high-value deals. The ideal candidate will thrive in a start-up environment, building processes while hitting ambitious revenue targets.
Responsibilities
· Drive new business acquisition across hotels, casinos, amusement parks, convention centers, and senior communities.
· Leverage existing industry relationships to accelerate deal flow.
· Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting through closing, with deal sizes ranging from $100,000 to $1M+.
· Maintain and track opportunities in Salesforce CRM.
· Work closely with marketing to leverage events and entertainment activations for lead generation.
· Regularly meet with C-suite, procurement, and operations executives to present tailored solutions.
· Achieve the initial goal of closing 10 deals within the first six months.
Qualifications
· Based in Florida (Orlando preferred).
· 10-12+ years of business development experience, with at least 5 years in B2B hospitality and entertainment sectors.
· Established network of decision-makers in relevant industries.
· Proven track record of building revenue from zero to $20M+ annually.
· Experience closing multiple high-value hospitality deals ($100K-$1M+).
· Ability to thrive in a start-up or fast-changing environment, building sales processes from the ground up.
· Willingness to travel 70% within the Orlando area.
