About the Role
The Consulting Manager is a player-coach role that blends sales leadership with personal business development. You’ll lead a team of Account Managers while continuing to drive your own client acquisition and revenue growth. This role requires someone who can balance individual production with team mentorship, growing the Edmonton branch into a top-performing office.
With a clear path to advancement, this position offers the chance to progress into a Consulting Director role as the branch scales, shifting into a pure leadership capacity.
Responsibilities
· Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Account Managers, scaling from 2 to 4-6 direct reports.
· Drive revenue growth by building your own book of business and supporting the team in client acquisition.
· Participate in large client opportunities, helping Account Managers close business.
· Set sales quotas, develop account plans, and manage team performance.
· Collaborate closely with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure seamless client service.
· Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including CRM management, account allocation, and reporting.
· Serve as a key member of the Western Leadership Team, working with the VP and regional leaders to shape market strategy.
Qualifications
· 8+ years of sales experience with at least 2+ years in sales leadership or management.
· Strong background in IT staffing, technology consulting, or IT services.
· Proven ability to manage a book of business of $600K+ GM (ideally $900K-$1.2M+).
· Experience selling into mid-market, enterprise, or government clients with long and complex sales cycles.
· Track record of exceeding ambitious sales targets and leading teams to do the same.
· Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and client-focused mindset.
· Must be based in Edmonton and able to work in a hybrid model.
