Our client is a global systems integrator specializing in advanced automation solutions for industrial customers across North America. With $300M in annual revenue and a strong growth trajectory, the company supports clients in industries such as food & beverage, logistics, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, EV, and general manufacturing. They are investing in sales expansion across the Central U.S. and are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to drive growth across key sectors.

About the Role

This is a high-impact, field-based role focused on generating new business within complex engineering environments. As Business Development Manager, you’ll represent the company’s full suite of industrial automation solutions, from controls and robotics to system integration and process automation. You’ll work closely with internal engineers to craft proposals and lead customers from discovery to close, building long-term relationships that drive strategic value.

Responsibilities

· Identify and close new business opportunities across automation-driven verticals (automotive, EV, aerospace, logistics, etc.).

· Drive consultative sales engagements with engineering, plant, and executive stakeholders.

· Lead discovery conversations and position the company as a custom solution provider.

· Manage the sales process from prospecting to proposal to contract.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with internal engineering and leadership teams.

· Represent the brand at conferences and customer events as needed.

· Meet or exceed a $2M annual sales quota with an average deal size of $500K.

Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience in industrial automation sales or engineering.

· Experience selling components, engineering services, or systems to industrial clients.

· Technical aptitude and ability to speak to automation solutions with plant and engineering stakeholders.

· Proven success closing complex $1M+ deals.

· Outside sales or client-facing experience.

· Must be based in Texas.

· Backgrounds in sales, sales engineering, or technical account management all welcome.
