About the Role
Our client is hiring a Head of Sales to reset and professionalize their revenue engine and help the business reach its next milestone. This is a true build-and-lead opportunity, not a maintenance role.
You will operate as a player/coach, personally owning new business development while implementing the structure, discipline, and repeatability required for scale. You’ll report directly to the CEO, lead a lean sales team, and partner closely with leadership to establish a clear path for growth.
Responsibilities
· Personally drive new logo acquisition through outbound, consultative, insight-led selling
· Own and improve pipeline management, forecasting, KPIs, and overall sales execution
· Build structure and accountability in the sales motion using Pipedrive CRM
· Lead, coach, and develop current sales talent while maintaining personal quota responsibility
· Partner directly with the CEO on go-to-market strategy, revenue targets, and growth planning
· Install repeatable sales processes to support scaling, including qualification standards and forecasting discipline
· Help evolve the sales organization over time by adding sellers and account management as revenue grows
· Sell into mid-market and enterprise pharma and life sciences buyers
Qualifications
· 7 to 10+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven outbound track record
· 3 to 5+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing sales teams
· Proven ability to carry a quota while managing and driving performance in others
· Experience selling complex, high-value solutions (research, data, advisory, consulting, or tech-enabled services)
· Strong executive presence with the ability to build credibility with senior buyers and partner directly with a founder/CEO
· Hands-on, operationally strong, and comfortable building structure where little exists
· Must be based in the Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ area and willing to work in-office full-time
