About the Role
The Director of Sales will oversee national account growth, lead a team of 7-8 sales professionals, and set pricing strategies aligned with market trends. Acting as both a player and coach, this leader will manage top accounts while providing strategic direction, coaching, and accountability across the sales organization. This role is pivotal in driving change and aligning the sales function with company objectives.
Responsibilities
· Manage and grow key national accounts in the land hardware business.
· Develop and maintain strong corporate relationships at the highest levels.
· Set and adjust national pricing programs to reflect market conditions.
· Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and group goals.
· Train and coach team members while monitoring performance and driving accountability.
· Support sales representatives in securing and growing business opportunities.
· Evaluate and restructure the sales team if needed to maximize performance.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 5 years in a sales leadership role, plus prior hands-on sales experience.
· Proven ability to manage, coach, and motivate distributed and/or in-house sales teams.
· Strong strategic, organizational, and change management skills.
· Experience in relevant industries such as shipping and logistics, heavy-duty equipment parts, semi-trailers, containers, or chassis.
· Background managing dealer representatives is a plus.
