About the Role

The Business Development Manager will focus on acquiring new business with national brands, consumer packaged goods companies, and major retailers. This is a pure hunter role, ideal for a sales professional experienced in consultative selling of custom-manufactured retail displays, POP fixtures, or packaging solutions. With high-value, longer-cycle projects ranging from $100K to $1M+, this role requires strategic selling skills and the ability to position design and manufacturing capabilities as a value-add, not just a cost.

Responsibilities

· Drive new business development efforts, targeting mid-to-large consumer brands and national retailers.

· Prospect, cold call, and network to build a strong pipeline of opportunities.

· Sell high-value, custom retail display, POP, and packaging solutions through a consultative sales approach.

· Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through closing, with typical deal sizes of $100K-$1M+ and cycles of 3-6 months.

· Build relationships with marketing, procurement, and merchandising leaders at major brands and retailers.

· Collaborate with internal design, operations, and leadership teams to deliver solutions that meet client needs.

· Maintain detailed and accurate sales reporting and forecasting.

Qualifications

· 3+ years of experience selling custom retail displays, POP displays, packaging, print manufacturing services, or similar.

· Proven hunter/new business development track record with a focus on generating net-new accounts.

· Experience closing large deals in the $100K-$1M+ range.

· Familiarity with longer sales cycles (3-6 months).

· Existing book of contacts in the CPG, brand, or retail sectors is a strong plus.

· Located in or near Cumberland, RI, with the ability to work onsite.

· Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset, and comfortable prospecting independently.

· Base salary: $85,000-$115,000, uncapped commission structure.
