About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager will lead new business development efforts across the Eastern U.S., with a preference for candidates based in the Southeast. This is a remote, field-based role focused on net-new customer acquisition, including direct outreach, lead follow-up, and channel collaboration. The successful candidate will work closely with internal technical teams and application specialists to guide utilities and municipalities through a consultative, often lengthy buying process.

Responsibilities

· Prospect, pitch, and close new business within the water utility and infrastructure space.

· Develop relationships with decision-makers across municipalities and utility operators.

· Manage complex sales cycles averaging 12–18 months.

· Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings (50% travel).

· Track activity and pipeline progress in Salesforce.

· Collaborate with technical teams to deliver product demos and post-sale support.

· Grow the customer base and support a multi-year revenue ramp.

Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience in the water utility or utility operations industry.

· 2+ years of outside sales experience in the water utility or utility operations industry.

· Proven ability to generate and close net-new business.

· Consistent history of hitting or exceeding sales targets.

· Based in the Southeast U.S..

· Comfortable with long sales cycles and technical sales environments.

· Familiarity with buyers such as operations managers, engineers, and asset leaders.

· Experience working independently in a field-based role.

Benefits

· Base salary: $70K-$110K depending on experience.

· On-target earnings: $120K-$130K.

· 4 weeks of vacation to start, plus personal days.

· Fully remote role with regular field travel.
