Our client is a Canadian freight brokerage and transportation provider based in the GTA, with a strong reputation for service-first shipping solutions. They operate across Canada and into the U.S. with a focus on direct shipper relationships, not broker-to-broker freight. With warehouses in both Canada and Chicago, their offering includes intermodal and over-the-road freight, cross-docking, and round-the-clock support. About the Role

This is a new headcount position focused on driving new business across Canada. You’ll be prospecting and selling to direct shippers, offering tailored freight and logistics solutions supported by strong internal operations and customer service teams. The role begins with outbound sales activity and transitions accounts to operations once onboarded. You’ll spend 2-3 days per week in-office (initially 5 while ramping up) and build toward a $500K/month book of business over time.

Responsibilities

· Identify and prospect direct shippers across Canada (intermodal, OTR freight).

· Conduct outbound calls, emails, and meetings to drive new business.

· Build strong relationships and close new shipping agreements.

· Collaborate with operations and customer service to onboard and transition clients.

· Maintain CRM records and provide regular activity updates.

· Contribute to overall sales strategy and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

· Based in or able to commute to the Greater Toronto Area.

· Willing to work in-office 2-3 days per week (initially 5 during onboarding).

· 1+ years of experience in freight, logistics, or transportation sales preferred.

· Comfortable with cold outreach and prospecting.

· Experience with quoting, RFPs, or CRM tools is a plus.

· Self-motivated, organized, and ready to build a high-volume book of business.

Benefits

· Base salary: $65,000 – $90,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.

· Commission: 10% of gross profit (brokered freight), 1-2% of revenue (company-owned assets)

· Health & dental: 50/50 cost share after 3 months

· Long-term & short-term disability

· 2-3 weeks vacation.
