About the Role
Our client is searching for a Texas-based Sales Manager to help lead a growing team of outside sales professionals. This player/coach role will oversee a key territory in the Southern U.S., with a focus on the public sector (SLED). You’ll provide hands-on support to 4-5 team members while continuing to drive your own long-cycle, consultative deals at the C-Suite level. This is a great opportunity for a proven AE looking to step into formal leadership, or a junior manager ready to grow with a respected brand.
Responsibilities
· Lead and support a regional team of 4-5 reps across Texas and surrounding states.
· Drive new business and build C-level relationships across long sales cycles.
· Travel within Texas 2-3x/month, including monthly leadership meetings in Dallas.
· Collaborate closely with regional leadership to support revenue, orders, and profitability goals.
· Model integrity, professionalism, and client-first selling every step of the way.
Qualifications
· Based in Texas (Dallas preferred); travel across the state required.
· 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a preference for public sector (SLED).
· Proven ability to sell complex solutions to executive-level buyers.
· Experience mentoring junior or senior sales reps.
· Bonus if you have a 4-year degree or digital/technical familiarity, but not required.
