About the Role
As Director of Business Development, you’ll be responsible for driving new business through professional partnerships, primarily with CPA firms, and directly with business decision-makers. This is a remote, relationship-focused role best suited to someone with a strong consultative sales background, a track record of quota-carrying success in professional services, and experience selling through channel partners. You’ll be joining a team where high earnings are possible for those who consistently build strong relationships and drive value.
Responsibilities
· Identify, engage, and grow relationships with CPA firms and other professional service providers.
· Develop new referral sources and nurture existing ones through strategic outreach and support.
· Deliver tailored consultative sales presentations to business owners, CFOs, and executives.
· Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and coordinate service delivery.
· Represent the company at conferences, partner events, and industry networking opportunities.
· Maintain and manage activity in CRM (Salesforce) and meet KPIs, including weekly meetings booked.
· Travel as needed to develop local markets and attend industry events.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of success in a professional services quota-carrying role.
· 3+ years in a consultative sales or channel/partner development role (CPA, BPO, legal, etc.).
· Experience in the accounting or tax space is preferred but not required.
· Proven ability to build referral networks and maintain long-term partner relationships.
· Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
· Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Benefits
· Base Salary: $120,000
· On-target earnings up to $190,000 in year one, with uncapped commission potential.
