Overview

Our client has an exciting high-performance management opportunity for new business development around their global IT services. Reporting directly to the CEO, the incumbent will develop and lead the team of Business Development Managers and Sales Specialists. Territories covered include current offices in Montreal, Toronto, USA Northeast and the UK. The role requires someone with drive and determination to work closely with both marketing and product managers to deliver innovative value propositions and close deals.

Responsibilities

•Develop sales action plans and lead direct reports located in regional and global locations to reach sales objectives

•Mentor and coach the sales team through the sales cycle and in closing deals

•Meet sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; and preparing monthly and annual budget

•Oversee the development of proposals/RFPs, presentations, and contracts

•Ensure consistent and diligent upkeep of the CRM tool by the sales team

•Achieve operational objectives by preparing and completing action plans, resolving problems and implementing change

•Coordinate to generate demand and participate in marketing events; Identify key market opportunities

•Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs, and anticipating new opportunities

•Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations

Qualifications

•A university degree in business, marketing or a related field

•Excellent communication skills in both English and French

•Recognize experience guiding a sales team to achieve their best and achieving significative sales growth

•Demonstrated success and experience in consultative sales of IT-managed or project services with enterprise-level clients

•Customer-Centric Selling– Provide guidance and support to the sales team in researching, prospecting, engaging with customers to understand pain points, anticipating their needs, and delivering innovative value propositions to close deals

•Influence – Negotiate and influence the opinions of internal and external stakeholders / Address barriers to collaboration by holding individuals accountable for working together and achieving business outcomes
