Here is a golden opportunity for you to become a Machinery Sales Specialist where you will play a key role in the delivery of exceptional customer service to the Ontario metal fabricating industry. Our client is very passionate about the machinery they sell but more than that they truly care about the customer experience that is just as important as the sale itself. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Machinery Sales Specialist position requires you to prospect for new customers and work with existing customers to help them with their current needs. You will be responsible to learn and retain product knowledge of the equipment our client offers and be able to demonstrate the machinery and controls to potential customers. Applicants must have experience in B2B outside sales.

Responsibilities

  • Expand the customer base within the Ontario market – Locate new prospects, determine their needs and be able to present and close the sale
  • Build and maintain trust with customers, and offer exceptional levels of accessibility to those inside and outside the organization
  • Work independently and as a part of a team
  • Maintain up to date information in the CRM
  • Be exceptional at building strong customer relationships
  • Manage all aspects of the sale from initial request to working with the service team during installation
  • Other sales and or administrative duties as they arise

Qualifications

The successful Sales Representative:

  • Is ambitious, outgoing and must be a self-starter
  • Has excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills and is able to work independently
  • Is not only a hunter but has no problem closing the deal as well
  • Has at least 2 years in outside sales in the metal fabricating industry
  • Has previous B2B sales experience
  • Has a strong mechanical aptitude and ability to grasp and retain technical concepts
  • Possesses a strong work ethic
  • Will be coachable and willing and able to receive constructive criticism
  • Has an infectious passion for machines and equipment
  • Has a valid G driver’s license and a reliable and presentable vehicle
  • Has a valid passport and can travel into the US when necessary

Experience

  • Sales to Metal Fabricators (Material, Products or Services): 2 years (Preferred)
  • B2B Sales: 2 years (Preferred)

Language

  • English (YES)
  • French (Preferred but not necessary)
