As a point of growth, our client is seeking aBusiness Development Manager to join their team. A successful candidate in this role will come with previous successful BDM experience achieving or exceeding set quotas. THe Business Development Manager will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package and an opportunity to help grow the company.
Responsibilities
Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
Cold contact customers.
Research organizations and individual stakeholders to find new opportunities.
Increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
Find and develop new markets and improve sales.
Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events – some are based in the US.
Develop quotes and proposals for clients.
Help develop sales strategy with VP Sales.
Plan and support marketing initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3+ years B2B sales experience in the Food Production, Food and Beverage or Consumer Products industry.
A hunter mentality, achieving a quota of at least $500k in new business.
Utilizing a refined sales approach to convert prospects into clients while managing multiple sales cycles.
A deep understanding of writing and conducting email campaigns at a high level (excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Will be a great writer/speaker).
Must reside in Canada and have a valid drivers license.
