Job Description

As a Business Development Engineer, you will be responsible for hunting net new business while managing some strategic existing accounts. The business development engineer will work closely with a dedicated SDR to achieve quarterly quotas and close new business in the territory.

Responsibilities

  • New business development
  • Outbound calls and prospecting (minimal).
  • Work closely with an SDR to achieve quotas and sales targets.
  • Focus primarily on net new business while managing a small selection of strategic legacy accounts.
  • Travel to meet customers face to face when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • The ability to maintain a hunter mentality with an eagerness to continuously grow and expand the sales territory.
  • Must have experience nurturing leads and closing new business while working in an outbound capacity.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and seeking long-term growth.
  • Professional sales training as well as manufacturing/ engineering background (preferred).
  • Located on West Coast (preferred).
